Alternate Endings (spoilers for Enduring War and Monarchs campaign)

I heard there was a way to destroy the Enduring and take the offer to join the Deepking and Deepqueen at the end of The Enduring War and Monarchs Under the Mountain, respectively, but when I got to those points I didn't see the option. Is it just something that's not available during a first playthrough of a given campaign?

You might need a character with a specific personality to suggest destroying the Enduring for you? It happens at the beginning of the last chapter. Then you just go to the Enduring's base instead of the Morthagi's, but both will still appear on the map.

The Deep Monarchs' offer is actually the one in Chapter 4, where one character can accept immortality and stay behind.

I think you need to not sacrifice a party member in one of the previous chapters to the Morthagi machine to get that option.

Yes, that seems to have been the case. I did get confused about the Monarchs offer - the guide I saw was referring to Chapter 4 - and I had sacrificed a party member to the Morthagi machine, so the option never came up.

Glad to have that straight in my head now!
