cave rock won't break

I'm in the cave with the pickaxe and have opened all the cages for the cats. But, when I go to break the rock, it won't break. I press A and release on the green bullseye. It just keeps showing that "thought bubble" over and over and it won't break. I did exactly as demonstrated in the videos but no matter what I do, it won't break. Any ideas.

I have this experience too (on PC). Happened on my first game since today's update, then I force-quit the game and restarted, and exactly the same thing happened.

I am currently having this issue too playing on my steam deck.

Same here playing on Mac. The window just keeps respawning and it drains energy like I'm hitting it but nothing happens

same issue, tried 3x and every time it just depletes entire stamina and doesn't break

the rock is indestructible and I can keep hitting after the stamina runs out. Playing on mac
