60 fps doesn't feel smooth
Despite the game running @60 fps walking in-game doesn't feel smooth at all. It feels like 30 fps or less. This is a common Unity engine issue a lot of games have. It seems like the frame times are off. Could you please fix this?
For example the game Lake Ridden had the same problem and the devs eventually solved it so it is possible. 😁

I'm experiencing the same thing! Should be able to run this at 144fps, but I think its locked at 60, and as you say, the frame times or frame pacing is very off!

The game constantly dips to ~30fps for no apparent reason. Here's a screenshot I took of Special K's overlay after starting a new game and standing still for a short while: https://abload.de/img/20210303151058_1r1je3.jpg You can see the frame rate data for the last 18 seconds shows .1% low FPS and 1% low FPS figures of ~30fps and there were no less than a dozen such sudden drops.

Edit: My specs are: 32GB DDR4-3200, i7 8700K @ 4.7GHz, RTX 3090, 461.40 drivers, Win10 x64.

I keep having horrible dips in fps and stuttering.

Same problem here, Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1070, 16GB RAM

It's really easy to replicate, just strafe walk side to side, there's a noticeable stutter, despite it being 60FPS constantly.

It has to do with the way they coded the first person camera. I posted a workaround fix here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/762840/discussions/1/3117025844135986825/

Hey there - developers of the game here. First off - sorry for the massive delay in the reply. We're aware of this and looking into the issue. We hope to have an update soon (no promise as to when though), and we'll post here when we do. Thanks for your report.

The devs already responded, so as someone who's also a game developer that makes games in Unity, I'm obligated to say that it's not Unity-related at all. It may be coincedental that two games made in the Unity engine suffer from this problem, but it's not related to the engine :)

Can you make sure the same frames won't be presented over and over again, which causes massive waste in system resource usage.
