Just sayin'.
Given I watched 155 videos and still felt like I was missing a LOT my takeaway was that ALL the characters were a little odd (Ava aside for falling for a guy and having his baby). The game could have done with more interesting content. She probably never spoke to Karen after learning of her fella's "death" where she could have learned about him more and given Emma/Karen was showing signs of being angry at David, she might like to tell Ava everything.
The cam girl was almost irrelevant to the main story and only served to cement the player's idea that David (in all his guises) has a poor moral compass.
David (the environmental activist) got too ingrained so faked his death to get out. David (Emma's partner) continued to be a prick to her and her family and basically cast them aside. David (The FBI agent) continued to become a "sharpened knife" by being loyal to the agency and starting a 3rd persona. He speaks to Emma clean shaven to "see her face again" but has since ended contact with both his children and their mothers.
