Telling Lies

Statistiche:
Post-Game Discussion Thread *SPOILER WARNING*
Spoilers ahead, obviously.

Has anybody else reached the credits yet? I'm curious to hear other people's experiences with this game.

I completed the upload shortly after being prompted around 05.08am. I assume there's probably another ending scene where you keep going and the FBI interrupt the upload? I'm going back to find out.

The ending report suggested I'd only seen around half the clips. I'm wondering how exactly the time ticks down and how it's possible to get a complete upload if that's the case.

Did you feel you had a good grasp on the story by the 05:00am deadline? I definitely feel I missed getting to the bottom of some of the story strands such as Peter and Karen showing up at the apartment.

EDIT: Having played around a little bit more, time seems not to be changing so the upload prompt seems similar to the message in Her Story as a means to bring the game to a close.

If Emma wanted Laura dead, she'd use David, not her new guy. David would have been up for it.
Just sayin'.
Emma does mention that she's uncomfortable with palliative sedation while Steven is trying to explain, and after Laura passes she mentions she was heavily sedated. Laura was not going to get any better, but as medical professionals, they did decide very knowingly what to do.
Ooo. I didn't see that one. My answer was flip because a lot of the posts in this thread were calling the act murder. I'll look for it.
I enjoyed the concept and story, and thought David's character to be very believable. I HATED the sheer amount of filler there was for no reason (Fairy tale stories? Watching tv eating popcorn putting on accents? The scene where Ava dresses as Freddy M? Watching people sleeping? David talking to Emma's daughter, the glowworm getting far too much air time). When compared to the amount of "interesting" content where stuff happens i.e. The antifa clash, the bit where Karen/Emma comes to the apartment, the bits when various groups get out the van, the scene where the activists find the mole, more about A-squared, the build up to the shooting in the cam girl's room, When David goes to see Ava's baby and gets chased out the park (likely to be a deliberate act to seem weird to throw Ava off the scent of him being FBI and leading to his "suicide"), the buildup to his actual "suicide" on the boat.

Given I watched 155 videos and still felt like I was missing a LOT my takeaway was that ALL the characters were a little odd (Ava aside for falling for a guy and having his baby). The game could have done with more interesting content. She probably never spoke to Karen after learning of her fella's "death" where she could have learned about him more and given Emma/Karen was showing signs of being angry at David, she might like to tell Ava everything.

The cam girl was almost irrelevant to the main story and only served to cement the player's idea that David (in all his guises) has a poor moral compass.

David (the environmental activist) got too ingrained so faked his death to get out. David (Emma's partner) continued to be a prick to her and her family and basically cast them aside. David (The FBI agent) continued to become a "sharpened knife" by being loyal to the agency and starting a 3rd persona. He speaks to Emma clean shaven to "see her face again" but has since ended contact with both his children and their mothers.
