Co-op friendly?
How would this game work out as a couch co-op? Cast the game to the TV and solve it together with some friends and a wireless keyboard.

Quite few reviewers are missing a rewind feature while watching the cutscreens, so I wonder if this will make the game feel booring to play together with others

Nobody who have played through the game and made an opinion? :)

I don't think it would be a good couch gaming experience. For one thing, if you want to see everything you need quite a bit more time than a typical evening with friends. Plus making deductions and finding what to type is the fun of the game, if you're doing it with several people then no one will have much "ah-ah" moments. Like you wouldn't want to play a puzzle game with someone telling you the solution every now and then

Good points. Immersion is one thing, but if turns to be more of a bore for some while others are deducing the plot straight away, it kinda breaks the mood for all

I play it exclusively with my partner. I'm going to write a review from that angle when we finish.

This works as a "couple mystery" or "close friends mystery" for three good reasons:

01. The non-controller person can take paper notes!
02. Most of the game requires memory more than logic (names, dates, times, etc.) and two brains are better than one.
03. The lack of quality-of-life features, like the need to rewind a lot or no way to skip all of that silent time, are actually the best moment to converse with your partner about what's going on, what notes have been taken, and where to go next.

Honestly, I suggest this ONLY with a partner, especially because the damning quality-of-life stuff will almost definitely make this a slog when you're playing alone.

So I just finished this game with a friend over this weekend, playing during downtime between some events we had going on. The game works perfectly with another person for these reasons, and the rewinding is well timed for chatting over search strategy, one person getting up to make a drink or coffee, etc. I can definitely say that it would be more of a slog playing alone.

I prefer to play these games alone. But I also don't like watching movies or a series with people who are talking all the time.

I want to make my own decisions and experience the game with my own expectations without getting other opinions. I prefer talking about it, after I played it. For me the game works just too good to be played in coop.

I fully agree with you! I played it with my boyfriend and honestly made the experience more enjoyable, since we got to work together to discover the story. He got a bit impatient during some of the more boring/slow paced videos - I think playing alone would've made those worse.

Well it works great as a streamed game with the chat helping finding clues as a group. Of course, you need to not have someone that already played the game or that checks out strategy/Keyword guides. I guess it would work as a group game too... With the right set of friends of course.
