Desperately needs 'start from beginning' video feature
There's a thread about this in 'Feature Requests' but it's had no developer input, so I think it deserves attention here.

The biggest flaw of this game - which wasn't present in Her Story - is the inability to start a searched clip from the beginning. At the start of the game, when you're first searching keywords, it's counterintuitive to normal player behaviour to jump to a part of the video mentioning that word. So the first part of the game is a real slog, as you have to wait to manually rewind EVERY video before playing.

Some have argued that the keyword jump feature is helpful. No doubt about that. But you can have both. When clicking on a video result, you're presented with a screenshot of the whole clip on the left, and a list of the keyword moments on the right. At the moment, clicking the left-hand picture does the same job as taking you to the first keyword mention. Instead, it could just take you to the start of the clip. That's what would be intuitive to most people.

I beg devs to fix this. A pioneering user has kindly created a mod patch but I'd prefer to have the feature baked in rather than rely on mods that will get outdated.

You know what, I understand that a "play from beginning" would be useful but there must be a reason for it not being there: the designer clearly wants us to watch some parts backwards... and I liked it.

I played the game without the mod and I loved that I was forced to play it this way.

The problem is that I started loving it after the first hour or so and for some people one hour of slow heavy gameplay is enough and they decide to not complete the game.

If this is "as designed" I would like to hear one of the devs telling us so. And even then, after the backlash I would think about adding the option. Also from UX perspective this is really a no go and I am sure many people would quit an otherwise good game because of this. So I do not think the devs are doing themselves a favor here. If they have stats, I am pretty sure they show a harsh drop-off rate at the beginning of the game long before the one hour mark.
