how do you get Firewood?

Ive got lumber yard and woodcutters but they never seem to make firewood, is the only way to get firewood to buy it in on the trader? which in my opinion is a little dumb or am i missing something here?

you need a woodcutter my friend

also your carpenter who makes planks is probably taking all the logs from you lumber jack the woodcutter needs full logs to make firewood

oh then thats what it is then, carpenter is taking everything from both lumberjacks that have 3 each working. hmmmm

the game has a few issues ive found sometimes the man assigned to work there never actually turns up so you have to fire them and hire another worker not sure if its a bug or just he was too busy doing something else (he might have had a side job to earn extra money)

when im playing the game i sorta stop production on lets say the sawmill so the wood cutter can collect logs and cycle it around with farms and fields to save money.

I set the woodcutter to have a zone by a clump of trees and he goes about his business, leaving the other wood related businesses alone.

hmmm i just came back to this game and i am still unable to achieve obtaining firewood.
I have 1 sawmill (with 1 worker and 1 carrier) that i have also shutdown for a while. I have not 1 but 2 luberjacks with 3 cutters and 1 carrier in each. and i still cannot seem to get firewood at all................
oh i also have a forrster with 2 guys planting new tree's.

WTFH am i missing here?
