You are right to be cautious. I have also worked in infosec and I definitely gave it a hard look before extracting that URL and ultimately visiting it.
Its a bit random for a game that is essentially,...dead?

what i missed most, was a select all/move alone button - but maybe i just didn´t find it.

Basically, while getting the combat beta is nice it means the funding situation didn't improve in any way so the programmer at least released the combat beta to all backers. Unfortunately thats (very likely) the END.
So this might be a last 'at least I can give you guys something before I close the office door behind me for the last time' gift, considering it came without any accompanying communication.
We decided to give any backer access to the Combat Beta, because after more than one year exclusivity, backer of the tier Combat Beta should not be unhappy with that move.
But, giving something playable to all backers doesn't mean anything else - the future of the company and the project is still unclear.
