Windows 7 Direct Draw Error

Hey im getting some problems with a Direct Draw Error when i try starting up the games can anyone help me?

Was getting this, fixed it by playing with my native screen resolution until it would open, then set it to windowed mode which will run at any resolution. Hope this works.

I had this same issue, and I tried EVERYTHING. Was just about to give up, but then I uninstalled the Lenovo DisplayLink program on my laptop (X1) and it started up normally. No need to run compatability mode, windowed, etc.

I had this problem also. I got it working by running this file located in the main game folder named: Rt2 (force 800 x 600 mode).bat. Once I double clicked on it the games runs fine.

Here's a strange solution i tested several times and it works every time. I launch PUBG or Stellaris and ALT/TAB out of the game. Then i start RRT2 and play it as usual. But if you close the "main" game, RRT2 crashes instantly. Good luck. //Sanji-San

Here is another solution that works almost fine for me. I stop nvidia control panel and Experiance. No problem playing.

fixed for me with the following:
in compatibility settings on exe file enable "Reduced color mode" and set to 16bit color.
start game and load or start tutorial or scenario (not a new campaign as it still crashes at this time)
go to settings in game, and set 16 bit color
then set windowed mode
apply settings, restart game. done.
