No Yellow Perch or Red Salmon?

Good morning, everyone,

I've spent the last week IRL (a month in-game time) stuck at the "Yellow Perch" part of the fishing quest. I've used the suggested combos for bait and fishing poles. I went through over 200 great baits (with yellow perch in the description) breaking through two excellent and two good fishing poles.

This is clearly broken. I cannot pass this section of the quest as the yellow perch will not come to the line. I've caught ALL the other fish EXCEPT for the red salmon. (Yes, I'm including the tiger fish and the golden fish breeds in there, too.) I even adjusted the settings in a custom game mode to slow down the time of each day, stave off hunger and energy, and just grinded to try to catch this damn elusive fish.

(I even switched things up and changed to the Good bait for the Red Salmon and had the same issue after 80 baits: no red salmon! I have even tried to use the best bait, hoping that I would roll the right RNG match to catch one of the two I need. Still nothing!)

Has anyone else experienced this bug or know how to catch these elusive fish? I'm at the point where I'm ready to uninstall, delete, and ban this ****. lol

I saw zero ponds in the maze, and I finished all 5 levels. So, please elaborate where you found a pond in the maze. Thanks. :-)

It's a random spot in the maze. Check all the ? mark locations. I've found 0-2 ponds each run.

Yep, unfortunately a couple has to be caught in the maze pond and.. you only get 3 tries .. so .. a bit annoying, use gear as prescribed.
