yup film grain can be extremely annoying ... a number of games have it ... and no option to turn it of ....
anyway , i skipped them and hid them so they are excluded in the search results
Back in the old days of gaming, many developers were smart to offer options to turn things of in a game, this way most pc could run the games... and boy they sold lots of games
The ""Eyecandy"" could be turned off almost for 80% ....
many times today's games strain even the fastest pc because of too many weather effects and ""Physics ""
Anyway .... in a way i'm glad today'' s games, require a lot of processing power, this way i can finally play my huge back log
Completely agree with you. A lot of the effects we have to day we didn't have back in the good days of gaming. But there is also a point where devs need to realize that not everyone likes the same thing. Also certain settings and effects don't work the same depending on what platform your developing for. Its really sad its 2021 and devs still haven't figured out how to do it right. Its not rocket science its just laziness in my opinion and I from first had experience I know for fact its not that hard. For example in Unreal its basicly drag and drop. Hence why so many PC gamers demand fully flushed out option menus. Its also extremely frustrating to have to deal with crap console defaults on PCs over and over and over. I look at it like this, if your to lazy to make a proper setting menu and configure the game correctly for PC by default then you don't deserve my money plain and simple.
Exactly
Unity can also do that, since the majority of games seem to be developed with Unity...
i have too many games and the Majority are Unity games, eye candy might be nice but there should always be a on /off option.
but like i said: "if devs don't take some advice it's fine with me: i just buy less games ( my backlog is way too large anyway
