How does the freezer room module work?

So can anyone clarify how exactly the freezer room module work? Does that mean the whole room is a freezer and I can use workshop shelf to stack my foods?

Just put some food from the freezer into a shelf, while having the room upgrade active.
And nope, they rotted away.
I also didn't see a difference in electricity consumption, so i can only assume it's a visual change only but idk, maybe there's another benefit that i don't see.

most likely its like the greenhouse. the upgrade only allows you to place freezers in the room. the room itself isn't a freezer. i haven't gotten that far yet, but it follows in the same logic as greenhouses.

Well. I dont know about the greenhouse or freezer upgrade, but i just tested toe factory upgrade. Without the upgrade, crafting 5 drieers would take 5 hours. after the upgrade, crafting the same 5 drieers would take only 4 houres.

based on this, i guess that if you put a freezer in a freezer room, items in the freezer would decay even slower, and plants in a greenhouse within a greenhouse upgraded room will grow even faster....

Yep, just tested it out myself and I don't see a difference. Would be nice if developer could clarify how the freezer room upgrade work.

I haven't done any testing, but I though that Freezers in a room with a freezer upgrade use less power.

Nah you can place freezers anywhere

Freezer just stop decay altogether no matter where you place it
