How to get the lever lockpicking book ?

As far as I know Peter Dong has the lever lockpicking book, but i have never once received it from him. Not even when i hook him up with Emma.

im pretty sure i got it from stealing from his desk, his desk requires the first lockpicking book to open though.

As far as i know there's only a screwdriver there ? But maybe it appears later ?

Started a new game to check this, the book isn't in Peter's desk at any point. You only get it from him for doing the 1 quest (stealing the bonds). So if you get rid of him before getting the book, you have to wait til a later floor to grab it.

I'm thinking about a solution. Maybe, if you make the boss arrested, you could be promoted to the next floor and then you could buy the book. If you don't open Legrand's envelope, you wouldn't be involved in his drug traffic and he wouldn't be arrested for that. Then you could search his desk, find the gun and sue him. I'm not sure if this is legit but it's the only idea it comes to my mind if you don't want Peter to be executed

You can get the book on the next floor, but it won't help you bust LeGrand by then.

No, all that I got from the Lost and Found after I dealt with LeGrand was a unique bottle of rum with "XXX" on it.

Ok, i finally have the book \o/ . Apparently, When you talk to Peter Dong 3 times about his favorite series, he will ask for money for his mother. If you then enter and leave again the boss's office, there are two people outside. Listen over their conversation, they mention there are bonds in the safe. Tell Dong about this and convince him to rob the safe. Come back the next day, he will say he's too afraid and hand you the book to pick lever locks \o/ .

Where exactly are there are two people outside? I already got the boss jailed, and LeGrand executed, but the only two people in conversation I haven't listened to yet are in the waiting area with the vending machine. So that only leads me to the book on the next floor.

If Dong is already dead and you havent got the chance to get the book from him you can look in the lost and found office

I got it after all that. By helping him get the money, then I went home and there was a stranger proposing for me to sell organs. He gave me a card that I gave to dong. The next day he told me I saved his mother's life and gave me the book.

If you mean the lock skill for his safe, I bought the book on the second floor by the trader on second floor. This means you have to be promoted at first though

Can you go back to Ferguson's office after getting promoted?
