Onimusha 2 & 3 Remastered Cancelled but we still can save the series

Dusk Golem, a very credible insider of Capcom who hit several leaks about RE2R, RE3R, RE Village and Monster Hunter for Switch, recently released a note on the status of the Onimusha series.

The note said that Capcom released the remaster of Onimusha Warlords as a test to ascertain the players' interest in the franchise. It was not expected to be a great sales success but unfortunately sales were still below expectations. Capcom planned to released remasters of Onimusha 2 and Onimusha 3 as well but they were canceled due to the low sales of the remaster of Onimusha Warlords.

Unfortunately the series of games Onimusha is in a very complicated situation now but as fans that want new remasters and new games we can do our part.

Anyone who has not purchased the remaster of Onimusha Warlords please if possible buy it. It's an incredible game, the remaster that the game received is also incredible. Compare the remaster with the original version of PS2 and Xbox that you will see a big difference, Capcom really dedicated itself to this remaster.

And please if possible whoever is reading this and likes the series, recommend it on the internet and for your friends to give the remaster of Onimusha Warlords a chance. If we manage to increase the sale of the remaster of that game, we can make the remaster of Onimusha 2 and Onimusha 3 be developed. If both have good sales, we may have a chance to receive a remaster of Onimusha Dawn of Dreams and/or finally a new game.

I was thoroughly surprised at how much I enjoyed this game. I had never played Onimusha before this remaster and It was one of my favorite games of 2019. It's the perfect 9 hour game (for my first playthrough). Progression is perfect, backtracking is minimal, combat is fun and the entire game is rewarding. Simple, straight forward fun. No grinding, no filler content, no padding. All killer, no filler. I'd recommend it to everyone who enjoys action adventure games or wants a fun game to play through quickly and complete all achievements.

i just realize that there is a onimusha warlord remaster...i will probably get it with the winter sale coming. But i think it is the marketing that didin't do too well.

.i think they should make this game for Wii u, with motion plus move which is even awesome. And Wii U doesn't have lots of games in it, people would be more interesting enough.

sadly they didn't use Genma Onimusha, it would've done a lot better, but oh well,mind you i've never seen them say anything on the forms could also be why, maybe

The sales were so low because capcom ignored the property for so long. People forgot about it, as opposed to RE which had constant attention, and even DMC had plenty of fresh content

I mean, Onimusha 1 is the worst of the series. I was waiting for Onimusha 2 HD but I guess I'll just play it is PCSX2 instead.

Onimusha 2 is the only game of the series that I played and the one I wanted to buy. I'll get the first one in hopes of seeing the rest of the series remastered. Long shot but it's all there's left.

I've bought it for ps4 and pc! I hope they will release more remaster or a new game of onimusha :)
