(1950X, VEGA 64, 32GB RAM.) Windows 10
So, I though something is stalling the system and causing the pause/delay in the sound, Turns out if i opened device manager, it was refreshing itself like when new hardware is added or changed or a usb device is plugged in.
Disconnected some USB devices (USB3.0 Hub and the USB 3.0 HUB built into my monitor) and the refreshing stopped, Sound issues in Onimusha are now gone, weird that this didn't impact any other game, but that FIXED it for me at least.
Have since reconnected the monitor USB hub and no issues, so I guess the hub controller needed a reset after a surge or short or something, maybe a bad device connection, who knows.
Maybe check out your Device manager, open it up let it sit there and it should be stable and not refresh at all.
