No 4k on a 2019 remaster really is a joke, think I'll pass this one.
The game uses pre-endered backgrounds instead of actual 3d graphics, so it's not as basic as you think.
Kinda sad that people value 4K more than gameplay, artstyle, music, story, etc.
"The game uses pre-endered backgrounds instead of actual 3d graphics" is this a joke? all the characters, etc is 3d, I can even play this game on pcsx2 at 4k, LOL. Just bought Alone in the dark the new nightmare on GOG a few days ago - which also uses pre rendered backgrounds and is older than this game - and it supports 4k/60fps. Thats gotta be the worst excuse I've heard to not include a common resolution in basically most new TVs out there.
"Alul, it doesn't support 4k, Guess the game is TRAAAAAAAAASH' Ya, people like you need to go away. You're always annoying. You're never helpful. You always complain about things that make no sense. You think you're elite playing on a TV with Input dalay sometimes measuring in seconds. LUL.
Btw:
I'm not subscribed to the forum/thread so even if you reply to me, I know you read this but.. I will never read what you wrote. Scream into the VOID you can see it in 4K if you turn your "TV" off.
Triggered? Why? Because I won't be buying a PS2 game for $30 that doesn't have a basic option for todays standards? LOL, if this game was a $5 or so shovelware I wouldn't care, but it isn't.
and btw: you already cared too much and got triggered for commenting here, As#hole.
Sorry to hear you'll pass on such a great game because of something so minor.
I tried this game on both ps2 and xbox. Not sure if it is worth triple dipping if they don't upgrade it to today standard 4K. But thx for letting me know. I guess I will wait, for now
RE 1 and RE0 also didn't have 4K, and it wasnt the end of the world. Still look good, and 4K is only good if you plan to sit very close to the TV. If you play further away, 1440p is fine, but 1080p is a little too low now.
Seeing this made me feeling old already.
RE 0, at least as of 2 days ago, supports 4k. Not RE 1 remake though
Im enjoying it even with "♥♥♥♥♥♥ resolution". Im fine with that.
RE1 you can force 4k by editing the ini files and RE0 support 4k native.
No matter how powerful your pc is, the backgrounds will always stay in 480 resolution on pcsx2, they're pre-rendered, unless you get a kick out of blurry and washed out filters.
