Don't take me wrong, it's nice that you pointed out their "professional review" OP
They affect the sales because newer generation kids will be like. well I ain't gonna buy that Japanese looking game with "classic Resident Evil" controls.
I am not even talking about the background graphics that were simply imported from the original version without even thinking of updating them leaving them heavily pixelated. Of course i understand that there were people who loved this game when it was originally released and that it had widely good reviews back then. But even back in 2001 games like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Tenchu or God of War were better and felt way more responsive and agile.
Sure it is playable enought to throw in a few minutes every now and then but calling it a great game let alone a classic - even if you consider the time it was released originally - feels at least as much biased as the IGN review may be.
Of course many will disagree with my POV but that is how i experienced the game.
The game is almost 20 years old and it was barely changed in this version, which is fine for me but newcomers will certainly have a hard time to adapt.
It's sad but I still hope that Capcom doesn't give up on the idea of making a totally new Onimusha game.
