"Booth" is damaged and can't be opened

Just downloaded the game today, but when I try to run it a box pops up telling me that the file is damaged and can't open, and that I should move it to the bin.
I'm on Mac OSX Sonoma 14.4. Tried to verify files, restarting both the computer and steam, nothing works.
Any ideas how to fix this?

looks like issue is that for some reason macOS can't verify it's install date. you can go to the game properties then right click to force launch it without safety protections and run it fine. the developer needs to fix this ASAP, especially since it should be quick and easy. would greatly appreciate, thanks!

also, unsure if current macOS updates behave this way, but at least on 13.5.2 once you force open it you shouldn't have any more issues and can open it from Steam as normal.
