1.06 No Disc Inserted Problem

Upon downloading RT3 today, I was not able to get patch 1.06 to work with the Steam version of the game. After searching through every link I could find here on the Steam discussion board, and searching through Hawkdawg's site, I was able to successfully patch the game to 1.06. However, the Steam launcher for the game will not work now (clean downloaded version patched to 1.05 worked fine). It says "No Disc Inserted".

I have already tried to do the No CD hack that is recommended, but even trying that is not doing anything for me. I am running Windows 10, though I do not think that is affecting it, and have installed the Vista patch just in case that was the issue, though it does not change anything.

I have tried everything that I could find, but nothing is working. Any help for this?
