So has anyone actually beat this map? I've been trying on and off for years and it just seems like its impossible. Just knowing that its been done before will be enough for me to keep trying but if its a lost cause i wont feel as incompetent.

Yes, it's been done by a few determined people, but this scenario has many faults, so much so that I and others have changed game events to make it work better.
