Adding Maps
Hi. I have tried to add a map from the site Hawkdawg.com, and it doesn't appear in the scenario list or the map editor. I've tried restarting, renaming the map, removing one of the base maps from the folder and renaming the new map to match the one replaced (and I did make sure the replaced one was for a scenario, not one of the campaign missions). I've also made sure there are not redundant map folders on my computer by searching for "dutchlantis" and seeing that there not multiple maps with that title. Does anyone have any ideas. I'm running Windows 10.

Hawkdawg has RT2 and RT3 maps (among many other things).

Make sure you picked the RT3 set of maps. They'll download as zip files, which contain a *.TXT and a *.GMP file.

Place the *.GMP file in your RT3 maps directory:
Steam->Right Click Railroad Tycoon 3, Click Properties, Click Browse Local files, Select the maps directory.

Even if the game is already running, you can now find the map by selecting "new Scenario" or "new Sandbox" or you can try to open it in the editor (under "Extras" from the main menu).

I hope that helps.

Update here: I downloaded another map and it works, so I believe there must be something wrong with that perticular map: Hibernia.
