PC controller

Hi,
Any plans to make this game possible to play with a controller on PC ? There's no way i can play this game on keyboard , comon we're in 2022, feels like 1995...

You can, change it at the top of Controls in settings, press Shortcuts and then switch to Controller

as Itzew stated, the controllers are already supported.
However, for a few people (something like 5% of the users), it seems there are some issues.

Unfortunately, so far, most people having issues didn't want to work it out with me to see what's wrong, so I still cannot see a pattern. The few who did had different issues related to their configuration.

Anyway, if your controller doesn't work, there are 2 first steps :
- disable Steam Input for TE4 and see if it helps (or enable it, if it's already disabled)
- if it still doesn't work, go to Settings -> Controls -> Players 1 -> Controller 1, and send me a Bug Report (HowTo => https://www.managames.com/Forum/topic5-31732.php )

On the same topic. I have both a PC controller and a joystick connected to my PC. When I change the settings to controller, it connects to the joystick. No matter whether controller 1, 2, or 3, it still goes to the joystick. Any suggestions? Thanks

did you already try to toggle Steam Input on/off ?

If yes, could you turn it off, then go to Settings -> Controls -> Players 1 -> Controller 1, and send me a Bug Report ? (HowTo => https://www.managames.com/Forum/topic5-31732.php )

I got your Bug Report. I don't understand why but the game sees your Thrustmaster twice, but not the other controllers. Maybe there are 2 elements in it ?

Anyway, if you unplug it, you might be able to use the other controllers, I guess.

Alternatively, could you try to add this line in your Tennis.ini, under [Controller] :
RewiredX = 0

This will disable the use of XInput, and theoretically it should allow the game to list more controllers, so maybe it could help fix the issue as well.

hello all. I have the same problem as above. I've already bought the game a few month and refund for the same reason as today. following steps and suggestion above : with steam profile OFF : I can play 2 player local coop only if i unplug all my other flight sim joysticks. save the profile. OK works. Once I re plug all my other stuff, my profile with Xbox one o player1 controller and Saitek rumble pad controller on player 2 is scratched, and i have then only choice for my thrusmaster Joystick witch is not the one i want to play with. Saiteck still available through, not the xbox one controller. I tried as above the RewiredX = 0 inside the tennis.lni ( it's not tennis.ini on my installation ). no success ;-(. I also tried steam profile and all the stuff. ...no more success : update because of an ingame alternativ profile, witch is not checked on start by the game, so the option RewiredX = 0 must be in Tennis.lni file.

by "Steam Profile", you mean "Steam Input", right ?

this doesn't work :

Ignore = Wheel Pedal Handbrake
Ignore = HOTAS

Try :

Ignore = Wheel Pedal Handbrake HOTAS

Maybe it could help.

Also check if it's possible or not to disable the unwanted controllers with Steam Input (when it's on).

OK i've got it working ... ;-)

2 my Tennis.lni tweaked. with defaut profile (with an alternative profile.Ini it seems not checked by game in launch log.( player.log) it check only Tennis.lni.

don't know if last line work as i still can see all my "hotas joystick" available in game, but now I can also see my pads ;-) : Xbox one and Saitek rumble pad so ... OK.

"also check if it's possible or not to disable the unwanted controllers with Steam Input (when it's on)" : if steam input is on, with HOTAS disables in steam profile, i can see only the saitek rumble pad as "unknown" ( as fake xbox one emulated by steam) and can't see real xbox one pad, i still can see all my Hotas stick though. I will double check that, once it works now in "disable steam input" mode. : done confirmed the real xbox pad is switched with a hotas joystick and once i do it back to "disable steam input" everything is OK. if you need further investigation or test just tell me. But now i will try the game and learn ;-)

So if you have a profile, Tennis.ini is ignored for the init. Could you send me a Bug Report so I'll get your profile .ini and I'll check the values you have put to see what worked ? (HowTo => https://www.managames.com/Forum/topic19-4589.php )
