In my opinion they should have used more type of surnatural (like mage, demon, werewolf,etc... and only one team of vampire trying to stop the battle by killing other teams trying to maintain the masquarade). If i remember weel other surnaturals don't care about the masquarade, coud have been a more believable situation...maybe...kind of ^^ (and it adds a lot of diversity in the game).
I'm curious about this game, we just have to wait and see. It's difficult to have an opinion whithout seeing uncut gameplay.
Those who don't know WoD will see a trailer of a pvp game with a lot of action, violence and supernatural abilities. Could be cool (and maybe there are justification for WoD fan in the game)
To be fair, this has always been something the Tremere were basically able to do. But not on the street in full view of the Kine.
I think the main issue is that a Blood Hunt game actually has an awful lot of potential to be an asymmetrical cat-and-mouse experience where one player is a Red List kindred looking to exit a city whilst a group of Camarilla mooks looking to make a name for themselves tries to stop them.
Obviously populated areas are "safe", where both sides can carefully manoeuvre, with the escapee trying to lose the pursuers in the crowd. Once you're closer to the the edge where there's a lot less people, the gloves come off - or the claws come out - and it gets a little more vicious.
But teams of bloodsuckers running around with automatic weapons? I guess the game needs to be fast paced in order to attract people, but I don't know why they're doing a BR. The genre is definitely on the way out and it's still utterly Fortnight/Apex dominated. No matter what WoD fans might think, Vampire branding is niche and not even vaguely strong enough to draw in the number of people needed to make a go of it.
I doubt the majority of Bloodlines fans will even be that fussed - they want a moody Deus Ex with Fangs immersive experience, not this.
I thought the first Vampire the masquerade bloodline game was popular old school game, didn't know it was a niche game.
Vampire: the Masquerade used to be a lot bigger - but White Wolf sort of let it moulder. Paradox could be good for the IP but we'll see how it goes. I think the issue with their choice is that they're going to be a tiny fish in a pond with a couple of massive fish - and the design choices won't do justice to the source material.
The game will likely be DoA, or at least moribund - I mean, what was the name of that Ubisoft urban-based/mobility/powers BR? I don't even remember - and this occupies that same sort of space. I reckon they'd have done better with something a little more thematic and then polishing it up as time went on based on player feedback.
But that's just me, I guess. I honestly hope the game does well for them.
I hope the game will be good too.
I'm assuming it's not fireball, but potence.

Could be potence, it's more plausible than fire, visual effect is really weird though. Why does the character's arm is glowing with a blinding yellow light? (i thought it was an explosion or fire the fist time i saw it, my mistake. I watched it again slowly, we can see arms glowing and we are blinded by the light. Weird effect for superstrengh
Vampires "play" with fire using blood magic, not a common thing to do, but still...
I fear the day they make it as far as Mage, it'd break the heart of my Nephandus.
This already feels like yet another contender trying to break into that sweet Fortnite battle royale money, because at surface level, the power sets are pretty good, you can do a lot with the Disciplines in just their basic form and they can look pretty flashy, you get to be an undead superhero essentially, but also, serving as a placeholder to keep the attention for the franchise alive since Bloodlines 2 wont be out till next year at the very minimum, possibly two or three more years as they replaced the studio.
