Can we adjust them ? Yes but nerfing them is about the last thing they need. Against a clever player with good movement, guns are superior basically always.
If you're losing to them you need to get better. Either improve your movement with guns to evade them or actually try learn and use melee weapons yourself. It's not easy to use them properly.
I'd rather lose to melee player with actul skill and good movement to down me then to average shotgun user who got spooked and fired in my direction by accident.
I have no clue how the deflect bullets works, but i hope it has a cooldown to it, otherwise it's stupid. No way should someone be able to deflect bullets from 2 players nonstop and then proceed to cut us down without much effort.
Actually, the person might have received damage, before i fell down, i landed a hit with my axe i think, still, it's broken if a solo player can deflect bullets from 2 players at the sametime.
If you hear the 'swishy sounds' and see them twirling their katana, they are deflecting. It has a short cooldown, and they move extremely slow while using it. 2 simple things, stop firing the moment they start twirling, and back up. They can't move fast/jump/swing at you while twirling. The moment they stop it goes on cooldown, and if you are more than 15 ft away, you should EASILY be able to empty a clip into their face and down them, before they even get a swing in. like I said... situational awareness is key. Ive never understood the temptation of emptying a clip into an impenetrable shield... reposition, flee, use aoe on the ground/wall nearby, use vandal ground smash, use saboteur gas bomb, use siren flashbang, literally run up a wall or get on top of a van/truck and dome them, or while they twirl, whack them with your own melee... like I can't even begin to comprehend how you can't figure out this simple stuff man LOL.

They are a high risk high reward option of combat that are difficult to use effectively.
Not only do you have to keep a solid bead on the enemy, but you have to anticipate what they are doing.
What's easier than this? Grabbing a shotgun and just spamming fire into them.
Shotguns deal more damage, have a further range and require less from the user to get a kill.
Does the shotgun need to be nerfed? Nope. It's fine as it is.
How the F am i suppose to know that katanas deflect bullets when it was my first time seeing it, it's not like we get to see everything first hand during the tutorial, so get off your high horse, nobody likes people like you. I've done like 10 matches total so far, i just stated something from my own experience, a guy managed to wipe our team solo with a katana, said guy was using the last skin from the battle pass while my team was using default skins, which means we were likely experiencing the same stuff at the sametime.
The experience gap alone probably would have got you all killed tbh, that's just how multiplayer games go.
As for the ability; this again is experience although it does state it in the lore section.
I'd also recommend not getting shirty with people who are simply answering your question, even if it was a bit goady.
Otherwise, welcome to the game. I hope you stick around and get familiar enough to get a few wins under your belt
Not my fault people are short sighted when it comes to using their brains, she assumed i am playing this for a long time, when in reality i am not. I did the tutorial like less than a week ago and i recall it only showing my some of the weapons, did 3 matches and launched the game for the second time today. It would actually be nice to know how all the gear works in the game, before actually playing online. Having it described in the lore is not going to help starters that much, most people do the tutorial and jump into the game thinking they know how the game functions, but then they come across stuff like this, such as katanas being able to deflect and dual swords launch you forward or something.
Also, i'm not that bad, i got my first W with a random group of default skins shortly after that comment, dealt like 1.2k damage and got 3 kills, i literally carried my team to 2 revive points across the match and got the W in the end. Essentially we lost 2 engagements early game and i went for that long term scenario win, luckily my team was speaking through chat, so they wouldn't leave and had patience with me walking around, avoiding teams and focusing on revives.
I usually do 300-1k damage most matches but i don't always get kills, it's a bit hard to finish off people in the middle of all the chaos sometimes, unless you are in a high point sniping people, which also leaves you open for any other groups to engage you.
LOL No assumptions here feller... fact is if you play only a few games, then you are not qualified to make sweeping judgements about the mechanics if it, based on the little experience you have. If I played CoD: Warzone and my team got wiped by a sniper on my second day of playing, and I then went to the message board and whined about how OP sniping was... I would fully expect to get laughed at and told to shut up. I feel like my very mechanical and very experienced outlook (Ive put in over 70 hrs on this game) is evidence enough that I know what I'm talking about. So mebbe chill the hell out my dude.
