How to uninstall the Spyware this game leaves if you uninstall it
The game installs backdoor Chinese spyware called "AntiCheat ExpertService" at the kernel level on your PC.

Directions from another reviewer des0lation_ should be followed if you installed this game or even if you uninstalled it with steam, the spyware will still linger on your machine.

Open CMD in administrator mode:

Here are the commands
to delete the anticheat

sc delete ACE-GAME
sc delete ACE-BASE
sc delete "AntiCheatExpert Service"
After that just delete the AntiCheatExpert Directory.

--------
you can check if the anticheat is still running / installed
via this script

sc query ACE-GAME
sc query ACE-BASE
sc query "AntiCheatExpert Service"
pause

you don't even know what kernel level means

Yeah I think I'll trust a company of trained developers over random people on the internet instructing me in altering my OS via Admin launched CMD.

Also... I mean... you definitely copy and pasted this from somewhere else. So you DO know that this has already been posted, lol.

Trusting big corporations is familiar.

Did you know that Tencent, the ones who made the anticheat for this game were funded in their inception by the CCP?

:)

In a December 2020 article in Foreign Policy, a former senior official of the Central Intelligence Agency stated that the CIA concluded that Tencent received funding from the Ministry of State Security early on in its foundation. This was said to be a "seed investment" that was provided “when they were trying to build out the Great Firewall and the monitoring technology.” Tencent denied this allegation.

Well, and the CIA has overthrown democratic governments, assassinated elected leaders, killed US citizens, and thousands of other atrocities. And according to your logic, anything that has been in contact with an evil agency must be evil. So when we follow your own thinking along, no US agency can be trusted and they are all just trying to get you.

But I'm going to guess you think it sounds ridiculous when your exact logic is applied against your personal narrative. I truly hope you're not very old.

I've just played the game few minutes ago, closed it and ran these scripts to check if the anticheat is still running, it's not. Also I have seen similar posts (same format and even some comments) in the past 2 days. It feels like these people are bots seriously trying to turn off people from playing the game.

Ah yes the trusted developers of one game (this one). A whole legacy of building trust, you are smart.

Hello. I am one of the devs at Sharkmob. The anti-cheat software we are using for Bloodhunt had two bugs in it at release. One such bug resulted in the application sometimes running for up to 90 seconds after shutting down the game. The other bug resulted in some files being left on the drive after uninstall (the bugs are in fact connected). Both of these bugs have been fixed and patched. There is no spyware in Bloodhunt, only an anti-cheat that functions the same way as most others used through out the industry. The community member who initially discovered the issue has even confirmed that it was bug related and nothing else.

Cheers and have a nice day!

To be fair, he isn't the one being stupid.

Everyone is complaining its an AC at kernel level. What they don't understand is that VAC is, BattleEye is and pretty much any other modern AC. They are all the same.

The only difference here is that it is from China. Does that make it worse? Not really.

Facebook and Twitter have taken far more of your personal info (and sold it), than an AC will. Its literally made to catch cheaters, thats it. Theres no conspiracy, China isn't out to get you.

I think this thread has run its course. To sum up: There is no spyware. The anti-cheat had a couple of bugs when we launched, one resulting in a few files being left on the drive after uninstall. This has been fixed. The anti-cheat now uninstalls with the game as it should.
