cant heal outside the battle

Only way I have found, is to go into inventory and use Medkit.

On very hard you can only heal with medkits and Bormin and one more mutant have a mutation that lets them eat corpses to fully heal.

i cant use medikits outside the battle, how i heal miselft with medikits outside the battlhe in the very hard mode?

You just bring up the squad menu (the same one that shows you your weapons and armor and such) and look at the bottom of the screen. It will tell you the button/key to press to use a medkit. the option is only enabled if you are injured and have a medkit.

You should be on the inventory screen, not the squad screen.

I have the same problem. I cannot use medkits outside of combat. I`m on the inventory screen i have 4 med kits and still the option is not available - how do I add pic to this post? lol

The option is available only if game difficulty is "Hard" or higher. Set "Hard", then heal, then switch back to "Normal".

Don't you heal automatically on Normal? Why would you need to use a medkit?

This is an old post but I started on high, changed to normal or ill lose. But I can't heal outside battle and cannot heal any way except using med kits. Stupid mechanic. I guess switching from hard to normal is glitched. There goes my 5 hours in save game again. This why most people quit this game, it gets too hard then there is notning you can do about it.

you probably didn't have on in your inventory. you need to actually have picked one up or purchased one for it to be available.

I too find this confusing. I picked up a medkit somewhere, but when I look at the inventory screen for either character, I can't find it. I'm playing on Hard.

...OMG ok so the medkit doesn't appear as an item in the inventory. You need to look at the bottom of the screen an then there's a little "'E' Use Medpack" thing. :-/ Weird design.
