Tips for begginers?
Hello everyone! I bought this awesome game and started to play it yesterday (like almost everyone else i guess). Im just pretty bad on this kind of game, even if i love them (i suks on x-com too). Even if im bad,i really really enjoy play them,so i was wandering if someone have noob tips for me(or everyone else who find this game challenging as i do). I learn 3 things on this 30 hours:
1) When you see a enemy,go on stealth mode around him looking for more of them, they never are alone
2) Look for the isolate enemies, kill the one by one if you can (without alert the big group)
3) Each party member should have a silent weapon (did it 5 mins ago,my pig had 2 shotguns and the girl 2 silent, thats why i had a lot of problem killing enemies before xD)
If you have more tips, pls share them with me,i want to learn and be better playing this, thanks : D

u should upgrade the silent weapons first.
im pretty far in the game now and killing enemies silent is a must! :D

all my silent weapons have electric damage for robots which disables them.
robots have more armor so killing them with silent weapons is quite hard.
But if they just stand around doing nothing for 2 turns its managable :)

use medkits only if u rly need them they are expensive as hell.
rather swap out ppl from your squad with low hp.
i mostly have farrow and bormin they both can eat corpses and heal.
one fight i let bormin do the work and farrow eats a corpse before fight ends while dux is doing the damage and one fight the other way round, so i mostly use medkits only for dux or who i swap him out for :)

You can see enemies filed of vision, and you need to use that to determine if you can kill one of them when they are close to each other.

If two enemy are close to each others, you can sometimes kill one of them without alerting the other. Just make sure that they do not stand inside the vision circle of each other's.
Even if those circles are on another one.
Does not matter if one field of vision is on another field of vision, what matters is if your target is within.

You can kill 'many' enemies that way.

The game is pretty hard though (at least at the beginning), but the more character and skills you unlock, the easier it becomes.

The biggest tip is: Change your teammate and change their skills.
I first played the game thinking about a AAA team and their fixed skills, but the best way to handle the game is to pick your mutations depending on the situation, and thus, your crewmembers too.
That's a lot of micro, that can frustrate many people, but that's the best way to handle the game.

Armor in the train give u full immun to knockback. and FULL immun to dog's attack. 1 character can live forever vs 100500 dogs

When you select an action like say FIRE WEAPON use your spacebar to activate the command instead of clicking it on your screen.

I saw a post from someone else complaining about this saying that they thought it was tedious to press 2 to activate the weapon, tab to select a target but use the mouse to click on FIRE WEAPON. And i was doing the same thing but maybe 2-3 hours ago i learned that you could use the spacebar to activate the FIRE WEAPON for the last part.

Ok, just about the controls: The UI is ♥♥♥♥. Mouse is ♥♥♥♥. You can't rename hotkeys because hardcoded (lol), and to simply rename hotkeys is a task in itself (lol).

Pro tip: Play with a Xbox controller.

1. Try easy mode
2. Upgrade stealth weapon first
3. Take out enemy who is alone
4. Use stealth weapon to kill enemy in one turn -> if fails, enemy will alert his friends
how to kill enemy without alerting:
a. kill all in one turn with stealth weapon straightly (better when enemy is alone)
b. 1 or 2 of your character attack enemy with stealth weapon; then knock
out enemy with Hulk Rush (Bormin skill); then 2 or 3 of you finish it off
Hulk Rushing really buys you one more turn for attacking
ps: tree hugger & knee shot cant prevent enemy from alerting but only makes it stuck
5. Use EMP grenade, weapon mod, Circuit Breaker to paralyze bots; you can knock
down bots with Hulk Rush
6. Gaper or guns w/ specific weapon mod can knock back down Med-bot and prevent its healing
process
7.Save & Reload to plan your moves and positioning

Has anyone made use of Joker mutation? It doesn't seem to do anything, enemies get the icon for it, they note who used it and such (like yelling "Get the woman!" if Selma used it), but then they just attack random squad members. Am I using it wrong or is the ability not working?
