Is it better to upgrade or wait for new weapons?

Since this is a hybrid game, I'm not sure if I should be throwing all my money at upgrades or waiting for shiny new gear later (or a mix of both).

Any non-spoiler tips for me?

upgrade your stealth weapons to max first, by then you will probably have found some better direct damage weapons, im level 45 right now and have not found a 4th stealth weapon yet

Thanks for the post - though thats pretty disturbing seeing how the game seems so centered on stealth to even the odds.

Do you remember where you found your 3rd silent weapon then? I usually hate spoilers, but I'm at the Fallen Angel right now and I can definitely see myself needing one for all my party members.very, very soon lol

You will find your 3rd stealth weapon very, very soon.. Also you will have an option to buy a second crossbow from Iridium pretty soon too.

Fallen Angel is a good place to get another silent weapon....

If i remember correctly it's in the chest they are guarding but you might going to need grenade or two to beat them on low level.

Was getting really annoyed with the random rolls when i needed 2 perfect shots without a miss to prevent a total wipeout. Now at least I can stop save scumming haha

If you're talking about Fallen Angel and the group with 2 dogs / chief / pyro / marauder, you only need to fire once, with a single mutant in the whole fight - with the Gaper (and that is at the Pyro, to push him into the dogs & chief). Rest is AoE root from Selma, followed by 1 grenade (which will kill the pyro and the marauder instantly refreshing AoE root, the dogs and the chief start burning).

Just food for thought, sort of ^_^

Yea thanks - just beat the game a few days ago. I have to agree with what a lot of people have said in other reviews bout upgrading silenced weapons ASAP

Though I should probably throw a caveat with that that you should save up the rest for the final few levels since i literally had JUST enough to upgrade 3 more fully (so wait until you think you have the best weapons you can possibly have - though there's no way to know for sure without spoilers).

At least spare some weapon parts for the laser rifle you find in the grog level, just one map (or two) before reaching Hammond.
It´s worth and one of the best weapons.

definitely upgrade your stealth weapons first, also when turning in artifacts make sure you go for the "Ranger" perk as its +1 dmg to weapons which is just awesome.
