Ability to grind / collect?
Hey,

i read about the game length and stuff, and it sounds kinda linear. i just wanted to know if you have random encounters or go back to areas where enemies respawn or so to make a lack of skill up with grind and equipment. Anyone knows? will the areas be repopulated again? :/

thanks for the info.
Jesus, you kids. :)

I would recommend playing...and stop listening to people that is guessing.

I'm not guessing, nor am I kid. And while I have no intention of refunding myself, it's a reasonable consideration for someone making a purchase.

If you need to verify what I said, watch the last live stream with Funcom, or hop over to the main forums and you can see previous discussions with answers from the CM's included.

The game is great fun, the art style is wonderful. The writing is witty without feeling cheesy, and the characters are wonderful.
If you are a fan of tactical RPGs, and/or the Stalker series, then it's a no brainer to me.

The mechanics that they have focused on are well thought out and polished in their fusion.
I felt well compensated for exploring, and the tactics felt rewarding.

But this game doesn't have random encounters, respawaning enemies, or loot. And as of the demo, it doesn't have a way to sell items (though you can dismantle weapons).

If things like that are an issue to someone considering spending £30-50, they are entitled to know.

Sadly there is none. Think of it more as an adventure game, honestly, than a proper RPG.

If you have to guess if you are older or not, it means you are not doing your research - i.e. you are guessing when the facts should be easy to find out. It reminds me of the topic at hand...

I suggest you actually try the game before refunding it. It's a fantastic game.

I wouldnt really call it too linear since you can adventure off the beatin path and collect more resources and find hidden paths and things that doesnt involve the story progression.

or better yet, how about stop pre-ordering games just because you bought into marketing and hype train and know nothing about and watch some twitch streams or wait for some actual reviews after release.
