SMRI Almost Fixed
I did find out why a few of the maps aren't working correctly or at all. The train data in some maps were entered wrong. I am 70% done all trains work but now i'll have to fix this data so that all maps work correctly and with out crashing and/or glitching.

As soon as i fix this i can start moving cities and getting the Names_XXX.XML files done. then i will move all maps into the main Scenario folder as then they should work as if they were always there.

I am also adding a few other trains that didnt come with SMRI and i will leave instructions with the update download as of how to get these trains working with any map.

Another map problem is 2 or 3 maps have too many trains causing them to glitch like crazy so ill have to figure out what trains to take out and what to keep in. This shouldn't take too long and should be fairly easy.

It is almost done though so after i release it should be working fine as i got so far 12 out of 20 maps working with out crashing or any known glitches.

thanks it will take tweeking with some of the trains in the map but i think i can fix any problem that comes. the only problem is trying to find which train is out of wack when i have everything set up then if a train is showing as a red dot on the map it means something is wrong with the train data. Sometimes its as small as a slash where it shouldnt be or the tender as is the case for most diesels in this game that if the diesel tender doesnt match the train name perfectly it wont show or cause the train to glitch the map out. also if the pdf file names dont match exactly to the train file name in the XML files then it will either glitch out or cause the game to crash on the loading screen. there are between 50-60 new train files to look for if that is the problem with one map this is the part that will take the longest as every train must work and the trains that i've added all work exept partially the 4-6-6-4 greyhound Allegheny class but its only flaw is it shows up purple instead of grey like its supposed to.

Strangely that train has never glitched and the map doesnt crash so im assuming its a problem in the dds file for it. not sure if you can help me figure that one out.
I ran into a snag if someone can help with this. The new tenders are getting mixed up with the dual trains of the same type ill try to figure this out but i may need to change the name of the new tenders as the trains are exactly the same besides the dual and tenders but im thinking of mixing them so it will have a tender with dual trains the issue is that the mods are almost the same size but are supposed to be a different shape. this is caused by the game getting confused as i have 2 things following very simular trains if you can tell me if you got the new tenders to work and how that could be helpful.
just to let you all know this may take longer than expected as im having to completely rebuild some maps like Hawaii this map was not put together in a way that it should work at all and i had to take the tender mod out as the tenders were not put together in a way that the game can read them as i tried almost everything to get them to work and this mod messed up 2 maps which i have to repair now and is not compatible with the dual engine mod but ill do everything i can to fix this problem. the map rebuilding will take some time as almost every XML file in 3 maps are completely messed up.

Keep up the GREAT work! SMRI made this game - and the crashes make it annoying.

maybe just ran into an issue. I have to start over i was one map away then my sisters ex and i were having an argument he sent a virus that nearly erased it all still trying to retrieve what ive completed im a few trains short so ill have to get them but shouldnt be a problem if i can manage to retrieve it it should be done in one or two weeks but im still working on retrieving data i did back up my localization and XML files but no maps are working yet as i have a few trains yet to get back but shouldnt take too long ive got most of it back as i saved importaint files in a different place on my computer

fix also great britain ... something about endtime is 30years to soon and auto save seem stop working...because endtime has stopped

I can change that but you can also change it in the scinario files just change the end date to what ever suits you but i can make it till the year 4000 should be enough time lol

nah see it as a bug report that they never fixed... and its only then you play the game and if u get a ctd that you notice all has been lost from and end game date is wrong and i read somewhere that because campaign date is ended ... but then you notice you did not get to play 100years as all the other campaign, and no i have not thought to edit game files back then

no its not that just a wanna be hacker that sent a virus that hit my documents folder is all still trying to get an f7 pack that has 3 f7 superchiefs and because i put them in the games main directory and now it doesn't have them its bugging out the game ive run into this problem before
i can fix the beginning and end dates as well because the code is simple and can easily be changed as i tested it in my own game and its worked but you have to change it in two main game directory

also can you get the holiday to work at with steam...i did try the steam guide holiday fix but it did not work for me

not yet and i figured something out and ill have to change some dynamics of the game its self. im currently trying to make the exe files equivlent to steam exe as its made to run mods where sid meier's railroads was not. if there is another modder here ill need your help and the idea is to make the game as capable as the skyrim launch as it can run about 150 mods. the problems with these mod maps ive noticed is they count as several mods in one but they need to be made to count as seperate mods and have the maps with trains cities depots and track landscape and everything in them count as 1 mod and so the game reads them as stand alone as skyrim has a race compatability this too needs something simular and after that code is change the game wont read all maps at once when you try to play one map. that has been this games problem from the start. it reads everything simotaniously but if i can get all maps to read individually then all maps should work reguardless as of weather they have been immerced with the main game or not.

My thought is to have an empty map directory that can read one map at a time with an option to choose inside the game in this directory and all maps should work fine after this. to make a 4 way track an option has to be made next to the track option in the game to just put one down and allow the game to put track down anywhere on the map with out being connected to any track. MODDERS I NEED YOUR HELP WITH THIS AS IT IS A HUGE PROJECT. THIS IS AS IMMERSIVE AS EXAMPLE THE HALLOWEEN MOD IN SKYRIM BUT THIS WILL MAKE THIS GAME BETTER THAN ANY OTHER TRAIN GAME AND WE NEED TO MAKE THE MODS EASIER TO READ AND WORK INDIVIDUALLY AND NOT IN A CLUMP. IF WE PULL THIS OFF THERE WONT BE ANY TRAIN LOVER WHO WONT PLAY THIS. AND AFTER WE DO THIS THEN I WANT TO WORK ON AN ELECTRIC AND MAGLEV TRACK FOR THIS AS WELL AS TRAINS AND MAYBE OTHER PLANET MAPS. BUT I NEED HELP WITH THE INICIAL CACHE AND R-CONFIGURE OF THIS GAME. I NEVER GET THE DDS FILES RIGHT THIS GAME IS FLAWED SO LETS FIX IT.

whooo hold on abit split this up into a fixed version and later with modded version is best.. because then people can test it for you. dont forget way to many diffrent computer hardware can cause CTD alot and you are still only 1 person not a company that can tackle all the unforseen issues... or better yet contact sid meyer at firakis and dump the idea to him maybe

fair enough im getting as much of it to work as i can i may have to take a few maps out untill i can fix them but it is taking longer than hoped as a few problems still exist but im working through them.
