Where to find additional maps?

I'm sure this has been asked before: can anyone point me towards game maps or scenarios? I'm sick of the standard ones.

Also - is there any particular trick to installing them?

I have a PC - Windows 8.1.

Once I have downlaoded a map and unzipped it, what folder should I place it in on my hard drive, and how do I bring it up within the game?

There should be a small readme with each map with details.
Typically you will need to place some stuff in e.g. Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Railroads\
