Is there a way unlock the locked bikes quicker? (Mods/save edits)

The career mode is a real grind, and I just want to enjoy riding all the bikes in time attacks. I managed to get unlimited money by editing the hex values of my save file, so I can buy most of the bikes, but I can’t figure out a way to bypass the levelling/unlocking that’s required for certain bikes. It seems like most of the best bikes are locked behind events, events that would take 10-20 hours to reach in the career mode, let alone clear.

Just wondering if anyone has found a way, or is working on a way to bypass this and unlock the bikes for purchase like all the others? It’d be greatly appreciated as I personally can’t stand the forced slog of career mode. Milestone really should learn from all the other sim-racing devs out there; games like Assetto Corsa, and DiRT Rally give you access to all the cars in freeplay mode, reserving the whole purchasing and running special events for a self contained career mode.

I think Xaru is confused by who has what unlocked. Nerd stomper hasn’t unlocked any of the locked bikes, they’ve just purchased all of the ones available from the start. I’ve done the same.

Personally my current save file has 100,000,000 credits, all the available bikes and gear purchased, and all the events unlocked. I haven;t done any oft he events, but I used Hex Editor to give me the max cats and max stars, so every event can be played. All the locked bikes are still locked for me, and I assume for most people.

Axe, have you unlocked all the locked bikes? If so that it was Xaru is after.

So im just after how i can unlock the bike without playing or how i can give me in this event the full stars because then the bike is unlocked

I actually did not work this out for myself. I followed some steps taken from another member in a post a few days ago. I'll try to find it.

I’ve been trying to do the same, so I’ll share with you guys(or possibly gals) what i’ve found so far.

Earlier in the thread I shared the Hex Editor method I used to get unlimited credits in-game. Technically it’s limited as the game has a capped amount (this being 100,000,000), but that’s enough to buy everything in the game so I count it as unlimited.

I have since downloaded Cheat Engine to attempt to alter the number of stars I have to unlock the events and the locked bikes.

The way Cheat Engine works is you have to scan for a hex values (so for example 0, as in 0 stars), and then alter that value and look for the change, so I did a race and got 3 stars, then I scanned for 3 stars and narrowed the search down, then another race and scanned again. Eventually I was left with a handful of hex values that matched the changes I had made. So I edited them to make the value 2208 (the total number of stars in the game).

This only half worked. Now all the events are unlocked, but the reward bikes are still locked. But this has definitely sped up the career, I can now do any ever I want, but I still need to get gold on all the events to unlock all the bikes, which would take many many hours.

So far I haven’t found a way to alter the stars of an individual event to get the bike, but I have a few ideas I might try.
