RIDE 3
Traction Control ON even when it says OFF
Every time you load a new race, traction control enables itself even though it's set to OFF. I can see the traction control icon light up red when I get wheelspin even though I have it set to OFF. I have to cycle to LOW and then back to OFF for it to really be OFF.

This could explain why when I raced against a leaderboard ghost the physics were 'nicer'.

I turned the rev meter back on to keep an eye on TC to see if it changed when changing bike. I will try your toggle suggestion next time as it is obviously better to turn off crash-aids!

I have a feeling there is something wrong with the game. Dont know if its me but sometimes the bike ride easier and sometimes they have very little grip. Same with off track...I have a feeling that off track help is always on

I hotlap everyday with CRB1000RR or BMW R1, and i have TCS off, when i try TCS low i feel it immediatly, the bike is so powerfull that i have a better grip...
I have always TCS off and when i load a race, my TCS is always off.

Hmm. Maybe it's only certain bikes that are affected. All I know is I have definitely seen the TCS indicator light up red even when it was set to OFF. Cycling it to LOW and back to OFF fixes it until the next race. All other aids are OFF as well.

When you change traction control during the race countdown it resets itself on race start
same issue like motogp 18 still has

When you get to faster and better bikes, you will want it on Full though sometimes it's set to High instead of full.

Anyone waiting for a Simulation mode (read: hardcore) is never going to turn traction control on. In the TT game we had a niche bunch recording video like this, called "TT Corner". But now it is like a ghost town because of the game being abused by a poor publisher, for example.

I've tested a handful of bikes over this, including some from 1960s which was before TCS was invented. Yet still the TCS light came on, so it isn't a kind of realistic setting. I was kind of hoping that it was like Project Cars 2, where you have a realistic setting and cars that do have TCS have it, and cars that don't have TCS don't.

I just basically want the hardcore option for those that really want the challenge. By all means have all the assists and things for players across the spectrum, but I really want to have the bike be a proper handful to control as it should be. Giving us that option should not be hard. Coming from simulations like rFactor 2, it's nice to have options to play at any level as it were, easy going up to "impossible with a controller"

Even as it is now, the big superbikes seem to just wheelie up on power in first gear, when really they should be lifting up through second and third. Not to mention any bumps or road changes causing it to pop up under power.

Thanks for posting the video!!! Gonna give it a try...

You need FULL traction unless you are using bad bikes or bikes w/ road tires but why do that?

I had the CBR600 w/ the stock tires for the DLC race and it kept slipping out the rear under power even with full TCS. Game is good because bikes that aren't designed to have TCS it wouldn't allow but in real-life my rear end of the R6 doesn't kick out and it's more powerful. I've never used any tires other than Michelin 2CT and Road 5. Maybe if I had different bad cheaper tires I would have high-sided crashed hard at high-speeds. Anything 2nd gear and beyond on the R6 in the dry will never slip the rear out and my R6 power wheelies hard in 1st.

The issue is when cranked over, and supposedly with TC off (and doing the on/off trick after the flag drops), you can open the throttle 100% in second or third and have no slip. Very rare when the corner exit is off camber and bumpy does it slide.

On my 750 I wouldn't dare do that, even with modern tyres.

It's worse in the wet races. Only done one with a fully hotted up rgv250, and again, you could pin the throttle in 1st gear even, leant right over and it wouldn't do anything untoward.

What I feel and I'm sure others do, is that we just want the proper simulation/pro setting to be exactly that.
I race this with a wheel and you have far smoother and finer control over everything, cornering, throttle, trail braking. Atm though you get away with just mashing each pedal down.

Even with TCS on the fastest bike in the game it can kick. The best example is the first corner in Brand Hatch on that downhill.

I've seen people high-side on championship events and they probably had TCS on full too. Using it as a good simulator for what to do in real-life Day 1 on the track, probably it's a good idea to not take corner exits w/ lots of lean at full throttle.

I don't quite understand the position you are taking here. Do you feel it is already slippery and realistic enough, even with TC on high?
