Cannot win Sport Heritage (level 1) 'Modern Classics' at the Nurburgring - unfair
Hi,

I am making decent progress in the game and have unlocked all levels apart from the very final one. However, I still have one outstanding on Level 1 and that is the 'Modern classics' point to point at the Nurburgring in the 'Sport heritage' magazine thing.

I think this level is unfair as the AI opponents can utilize bikes from the DLC Supercustom pack such as the customised Triumph Street Twin which is so much faster in a straight line than all other available bikes, even when completely tuned to the maximum. I do not wish to purchase the DLC just to win this game. Anyone got any hints? I've tried using the Street Twin and Husqvarna Svartpilen both fully tuned.

Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, add all the mods.
Settings, top 2 set to +8. This bike leans very poorly so it needs lots of help.
All the rest of the suspension set to max.
Gears you can leave as they are, final drive so you get 126mph.

Race: You will pull way but then get caught as you end the straights.
Now you must stay as close to them as you can through the turns.
The left hand into the downhill (obvious hill) they are very beatable. Just get a clear run and you should be in the lead. Now just stay in front. You can beat them in the long left hand turn.
Win.

Just as an explanation: The game will pick bikes around your PP. Just pick a bike too low for it to pick a DLC bike.

If you really can't beat something just lower the AI all the way down. I like the career mode and progressing through the races as much as anyone. But if something really does give you problems and you have tried over and over different bikes/setups/race craft and still can'r beat it just lower the difficulty for that one race or event.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

If you mean T13 - I agree, one can overtake AI relatively easy there.
I did beat Nurburgring on a V7, it has great brakes and is very good for late turn-ins, which is just ideal for Nurburgring.

The most difficult race for me was Tenerife. It took me weeks and hundreds of attempts to reach a podium there.

I am truly rubbish on the Tenerife tracks, no idea why. Maybe it's in my head they are fictional?

Hi guys, I did manage to beat this, pretty much exactly as Kensai606 said. The issue is that when you pick the Guzzi V9, the other AI riders are limited to bikes with a similar performance value. This means it's possible to beat them if you're pretty lucky. I did experiment with gearing (as you would on a real machine) and this helped me a lot.

Now have gold markers on the first two levels, a bit stuck on the Supersport 600 championship on the third, it's the Nurburgring again, the time attack on the full circuit "600cc of power at the Nordschleife". Seeing as there are no opponents, I just need to work on my consistency. And I'm beginning to dislike the Nurburgring!!

Give me Cadwell Park any day. In case you were wondering I can attest that Cadwell Park and Brands Hatch are exactly as the real tracks in the real world. What a game!

Thanks! this really really helped! I was kinda surprised about how hard this race was and wasn't able to finish better than at bronze place. I even cranked down the difficulty setting all the way to learner level (except auto brakes) and it still didn't help. But now I see the problem was the choice of bike, that you needed to get a crappy bike so the opponents are crappy too, now finally a gold

I know this is an old thread, but this advice saved me prolly 6-8 hours of headache, and possibly abandoning the game, because I was watching the computer ai get a 10 second head start on the first straightaway of the Nurbergring level with the naked bikes. Silly me for choosing the best bike lol.

Thanks and have a nice day.
