Possible to add more kanji via DLC?
Is there any chance that dlcs for this game could be made to expand the number of kanji Offered from the commonly used set taught in Japanese schools?

Or is the viability of that just not possible.

This definitely needs more kanji. 200 is nothing, we need the other 2000 that goes along with it. Even if they were broken up by N5, JLPT, grades, frequency or what ever into DLCs that would be nice. I am not sure which 200 they even give you to begin with. Are they random or grouped some how? For some reason all these Japanese learning games give the bare minimum and do not continue. Quite sad really.

Yeah, I really want DLC with more Kanji too. Although the after credit scene may imply there will be sequels. Which I honestly would love to play, the story in this game was so good!

I'm more looking for a 4th to be fair. This covers 240 kanji. It would be nice if the bonus content was added in battle. I mean you aren't just going to learn 240 kanji by playing kanji combat, but it does help. It helps if you have previous study experiance. Realistically most Japanese people know about 1000 or so kanji and have to look them up themselves. 240 would bring you up close to whats needed for N4. This covers most (if not all) of the N5 kanji I think. For the most part I know the N5 kanji and I need practice on N4. This is helpful. Using the same study games gets boring, this is refreshing, I'd love a 4th game... just saying! Plus I mean the price is really reasonable!

To be considered proficient in Japanese you need N2 to N1 as a foreigner. I assume most native Japanese know all 2,000+ kanji as that is what is put into newspapers and magazines and they learned all the way through schooling. And those are just the everyday ones, not to include slangs or ones put into other magazines not written for the general public.

The education system of japan assumes the 2000 or so you learn through schooling to be well known, but any outside of that will likely have furigana with it, or require people to look it up/guess based on radicals. if we could get all the way up to 2000+ in a game it would help with recognition, and when combined with actual vocab study would go a long way towards proficient understanding of japanese. The best part about how this game does it, the pneumonics taught are those using japanese links, rather than english links. it is better to learn in the language, than learn from another one.

+1, I certainly don't know all the kanji from this game yet, but I also feel like at some point I will be wanting more.

In the mean time Takoboto Japanese dictionary on Android is free and will teach you with stroke order, pitch accent, similar words, etc. how to read, write and speak the kanji.

You can also use Hentaigana (And no it has nothing to do with tentacles or anything...) for free on the app store. They show how kana was shortened from kanji to what it is known today. So basically the older writings. But also helps your technique, as there are different ways to write certain kana.
