"Can cook, will cook" quest

So in this quest description I'm suppose to cook something home made and deliver it between 8:00 - 17:00 pm. I made a jam and an apple pie, tried to deliver to the quest giver between these hours but there was no option to complete the quest.
Am I suppose to cook something specific that doesn't mention in there? Is the delivery in the case is also broken like the milk delivery?

So far I have never seen a "Can cook, will cook" quest that had this broad of a timeframe. Mine all go from like 4 pm to 7pm (16.00-19.00). Maybe you were too early?
If you don't find the NPC you can put their questitems into their mailbox as well.

In my game, this quest only requires turnip-made recipes, and do not accept anything else. Which is jarring because turnip is nowhere to be seen in the prologue at all. I suppose something is broken since in early access it did not required a specific ingredient for food at all.

That is the new version of the task, but I don't think it should be asking for categories that you can't yet access. I'll find out.
