do i miss something inportant?
is there any way to upgrade strenght and stamina and toughness? i have the same stats like before and iam 48 now... the childs dont get bigger stats even after they grow for 30 years i payd for the items i take^^

i dont have any idea how to get better in battle

to get better stats on the child - you need to designate them training schedule on your farm

your spouse's permanent traits can be inherited by your children too, so you can add some stats that way

completing tasks on the kynseed tree gives you tokens that can raise your stats before moving on to next generation

you can eat stat buffing food before you enter the woods and once you are inside when you reach the camping site

some of pets give buffs to these stats if you chose them to join you in battle

you can also go to settings and lower the combat speed in accessibility settings - I used to play on slowest when I statred, but now I am capable on going full speed even with starter character with no combat stats boosts

dodging (moving up and down) instead of blocking with the sword helps to not lose a lot of health when your stats are low
It sounds like you would benefit mostly from lowering combat speed in accessibility. Once you get more comfortable with combat you can raise it back up.

Stats can help, the primary way to raise them now is heirloom chests. Every 10ish years heirloom chests that you've opened will be reset and they'll gain stat point upgrades for you to gain. This means every 10 years you can get 18 stat point upgrades to distribute as you please.

Stamina, Constitution, and Strength help the most in that order. Accuracy, Speed, and Toughness are the next most useful stats, in that order. Stamina increases how quickly your action points replenish in combat, allowing you to attack faster. Constitution gives you more hp, so you can actually start to survive hits. Strength is more damage. Accuracy is more crit chance. Speed increases your parry window. Toughness reduces damage you take while blocking.

Combat skills, 5-star weapons, 5-star wards, and 5-star charms help a lot in combat. I'd recommend a Tin Sword and an Iron Sword for Simplewood. Tin gets bonus damage against Lobs, Nobs, and Hobs. Iron gets bonus damage against Forest Hags. This does mean you won't have any bonus damage against Nymphs though. Copper charm is going to be the best bet for you early on, it's just stun chance on melee hit. Finally a Tin Ward is great since most of what you'll be fighting are Hobs. You'll want to change what you bring for Midwood and Toughwood, but just focus on getting used to Simplewood first.

1~4-star difficulty Simplewood should all be roughly the same, with just a slight bump in enemy hp and damage. 5-star+ Is when hags start to spawn more frequently, with it being common to fight 3~8 Forest Hags once you're at 10-star difficulty. Get used to moving out of the way of attacks and prioritizing enemies with more annoying attacks.
big thanks to you two for your answeres!

i dont see the option to slower battlespeed, i think this will help a lot to get in to it and learn better to move and dodge. Thx.

the "problem" with the child was that i take every item i can get from the guy for lifetime. as the year ended my child raised from child to 38 and it overjumps the years without giving my child the stats he learned. i let him study and socialyse to get stats but he has with 38 now the same stats as a child.

but what are these heirloom chests? i have explored everything except one area and on the story i forge the legendary sword atm xD battle was for me so bad that i do everything except that^^ but i never see a hireloom chest that give me stats!

and a question about children: if i get, let me say 3 stats from the kynseed and i take for example 3 times accuracy and i dye, will the child get this 3 accuracy too or only the charakter they solve the quests?
same question for the challenges. i get stats from challenges, a few, only for charakter they take it or for all?

and how can I let longer time pass? i mean every ten years the stats. playing ten years takes hundrets of hours real time xD

the grey with yellow corners adn numlock is a heirloom chest, there are many chests like this assigned to houses around the map
to open them you neeed to give gifte sto people who live in that house, untill they give you the sapcode for the lock

you can also try to guess the lock, but then if you fail, even known numbers will reset

first time you open these chests, rewards are varied preset ones

I never opened them second time, but it looks like if they are giving stat points, I am changing my routine to include fishing for lock numbers

all the stat raises you get from kynseed are items in your inventory, and thus are inherited after you pass the seed

you can sleep days away, one day at a time
you can die in combat to get more life tax years deducted
you can buy more stuff from fairweather untill he runs out

and you can pass the seed without death - the option is on the kyntree
ahh ok. this chests i see often but never gets numbers for the chests. i believe because i stoped gifting if they are full. i didn,t know that is has a special thing after full hearts^^

i looked on my inventory and i dont have items from the kynseedtree in my inventory. i get something from the tree that lowers the tax for 1 year but after using this its away. an item for the stats i dont have. the same for the stats from the challenges. or do i get it after the starting charakter dies? he dies i a few days xD

oh, and you can die without become 50. hmm. if the stats really get inherited the eventually its a thing to make the kynseed quests and then kill it and make the next ones to stack stats^^
kyntree quest reward bonus stats used to look like seeds in the inventory that you got after completing kyntree quest thing, maybe it have changed with new update - I have yet to get one in my new savefile
maybe I even don't remember correctly, it was some time ago, my previous save

anyway, independant of how they are represented, all this bonus stats should transfer to the heir
ok. seed looking like item was this one year lower tax cost on the end of the year. that item i see on my inventory. but for challenges and kynseed stats i dont find any clue or item

Options -> Accessibility (5th tab) -> Combat Monster Speed

The first time you open an heirloom chest they give recipes, items, money, or exp. After that, each time you open them you'll instead get stat points.

If you've already bought all of the items from Fairweather, then dying in combat is the fastest way to burn years. Die in toughwood to accumulate life debt.
thx hunter,

i found the option and now i killed everything without problems O.o i wish i had found this earlier xD iam such a noob in fights in this game xD shame on me^^

now i have 7 achievement left and 3 of them are buggy or iam to stupid to find/get xD

the ghost trader, i know where he is but every night i get to the place he is not there.

the date spots. i have verything, all challenges full but i dont get it. i compare with the 2 wikis and one wiki say at stonecrown are 4 spots and the other say 3 xD dont know which i dont find atm because challenge say i have all.

and the last one. this summertide event for second time. sommer is over now and this dont happen again. dont know if i have to play a new game and play to this event again to get it.
summertide should be every year ending with 1
so 11, 21, 31 and so on

you must experience the summertide twice on the same savefile for the achievement, just going thru tutorial again wouldn't trigger it
ah ok, iam now in year 36, thats why i dont see it :D
One thing I was misunderstanding at first is that forest "Depth" is a choose-your-own-difficulty. If you pick Continue instead of Deeper you can keep the run at 1 skull difficulty, which makes it a good bit easier to get through, if you just want to finish it for related quests.
that i noticed from the beginning, but thanks for the tipp :)

Good to hear!

the ghost trader, i know where he is but every night i get to the place he is not there.
The ghost trader has a relatively small spawn chance each night. If you don't see him right away, he's not going to be there that night.

Use the official wiki for date spot locations: wiki.kynseed.com

Good luck!

with this there is a really big problem. i used the wiki you linked and this site is the only site that say stonecrown have 4 date spots. every other site say stonecrown have 3! i found the challenge that say how much there are in total and the challenge means 65. i count the numbers of datespots on the wiki you linked and there are 65. but on stonecrowm i dont found this underwood grotto. the wiki have no maps with the locations and i searched for maps and NO ONE map even not the guides in steam have this date spot on his maps O.o i run the map now 20 times in every corner but there is no underwood grotto...
