I assume that some characters are chosen for marriage more often. I believe that you can't find a better girl than Star Sapphire :) And there's at least one Melanie Jugg fan on this forum. Do you have your favourites for marriage? How do you choose them? Is it a character, appearance or stats only?

Appearance is definitely part of it for me, I chose Toby Jugg because I thought he was cute! (as a woman in my upper 30s, I love that there are some older candidates!)

It was also really funny at the wedding that his sprite was still holding the tankard the whole time lmao

Honestly, I find the characters too goofy to consider any of them actually attractive. I might've gone for Poppy Seed if they gave her the same face-lift that Hannah Hammer got (like an anvil, her face used to be), but nope, she still has a face I can only imagine Ed Wynn's voice coming out of. Not only that, they cut back on Poppy's innuendos, which I actually found endearing.

And the characters that I might consider physically attractive have personalities that I find repulsive. You mentioned Star Sapphire, but I don't go for the cutesy fangirl type (plus I'm not a fan of bangs).

I do think it's cute that Charlotte Onion asks you to take her to the Shoe for her three-heart quest, and Pearl asks you to take her to the farm, but I don't find either of them particularly attractive otherwise.

I married Steef Jaxon, he's very smart and sharp. John Bows, because he has good stats and he's a good fellow as well. Ash Brown, because of trait I want to pass to children.
But appearence matters. I can't marry some characters even with good stats, because I don't want to see them everyday!

I married Star Sapphire, but I've seen a lot of love for Raven Loon. I considered a few others, like John Bows. Appearance and stats both play a part. Tbh, a lot of characters' personalities are kinda weak so that isn't a huge part of it for me. I do love that Star is a music lover.

appearance wise star sapphire is probably my favorite, a lot of the sprite heads are weird and it's more acceptable to me

In terms of appearance and personality, Ned Scrumpy has always been a surprising favorite for me- never really sure why lol. Otherwise I quite like Pearl Onion and Ivy Weed. A younger Papa Russ Ebers would probably also be a favorite of mine haha

It depends on their age. I really like adult Pepper family members, both Carolina and Belle. Carolina is a stick in the mud until the day she dies and she's great for it. When it comes to older partners, I think Poppy Seed looks adorable and love how sweet she is.

In general I find myself very partial towards Summerdown residents, but I have to agree with others that Star Sapphire is also a catch.
