I found the most efficient way when low on funds is getting a scythe though. Use it on the tall grasses located on your property and the neighboring areas (it varies in color from yellow, to purple, etc.).
You don't get a lot at once, but you'll usually be able to get 3-6 different seeds per bundle.
In fact I even made my starting fortune by selling wheat seeds to the shops during the prologue.
You get a lot of them very fast, so even as an adult I find it preferrable to sometimes get the blessing and stock up on seeds as hunting for them at different shops is annoying.
Combined with the sickel upgrades, crops sometimes drop 2-3 seeds for me you will be swimming in seeds and start selling them in bulk
Seed chance for Level 2 sickel is like 5% or 10% something and only works on stuff that has plantable seeds (all buyable crops/flowers + pink roses)
the name for blessing is super grass i think
