I'd say the romance system is a bit of a mixed bag at this point. There are some dialogues (both with your spouse and comments made by the townspeople) acknowledging that you are married and the spouse will talk about things they are doing around the farm. You also can assign your spouse chores and send them out to gather materials. It seems like the spouse stays on the farm unless out gathering for you - I married Melanie Jugg and it looks like her dear old dad is now stuck running the tavern by himself. There are no pet names and outside of the few comments mentioned above, no real conversation about being married, being in a relationship, etc. The dialogue system is pretty shallow at this point, which makes sense given how wide the range of options for marriage is.
Curious how even married people you can marry. Do they stay at your farm to and leave their home then?
Do you think the comments/banter between you and your spouse will be added in the future or do you foresee that it will remain as it?
While I find it endearing, it's not make or break for me just things I would like to see implemented is all.
And yes, they leave their home and stay at your farm.
They will stay at your farm unless you send them on a gathering mission or have them work at one of your businesses.
