Wow, this is very interesting. Maybe I'm a bit slow but I did not see the climax coming at all. And I thought it was perfectly shocking. Especially cos all the npcs were talking about how it is such an honor to be chosen as herald, so I thought I'd pick ol' Jacob Crackle cos I liked him...
