Cannot figure out how to get the sword

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get the first sword in order to learn combat. Can anybody help? Could not find it online either. Been to every blacksmith I could get to, but nothing. Help?

I think you have to get the mold and get the ore to make it?

But do you need to buy the smith in order to get the mold?

You should be able to click on the person at the counter and buy it?

Was not available to me at the start of the game. Maybe some time must progress before he gets it into his stock? I'm at the start of the game still, so I haven't seen it yet if it's there. Maybe you have to purchase other molds first?

It should be the Poppyhill Blacksmith. Talk to the person behind the counter and They should have a tin sword for sale. They sell the mould too, so you can make your own at any smithy as long as you have some ore.

Have you spoken to Jogon in Rivermoor yet? You might need to do that first.

Hmmm, yes. Didn't expect the early access game to be bigger than the first town. (with all that is already there)
For new players: The game tells you when you can leave town. No need looking for a way out too early.

I am having the same problem. I can't buy a sword or mould. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have talked to Jogon and then went to the blacksmith in Poppyhill and talked to the lady at the counter and nothing. I've clicked on everything in the shop, went to the other blacksmiths shops and its like I can' buy anything in those shops. Getting very frustrated.

What solved my friend's problem is waiting until after she opened and talking to her. A shop option came up and we could just buy everything. Sorry if this doesn't help, I don't actually play the game so my explanation is poor.

had similar issue, just ran around multiple times, eventually let be buy it from poppy blacksmith.
