Hazel Nutt (I love that name btw! xD) and other things ...

Hi everyone,

so, I've been playing this for 2 hours now and made a stream of my (very) first impressions during these 2 hours - and I'm intending to keep this game and to continue my stream with further episodes. :) So far, I like Kynseed ...

BUT

of course you can see that there are clearly plenty of things to improve.

First of all (that's what I actually want to ask^^):

Is that quest with Hazel Nutt and her lost cat buggy? I found a cat straight at the entrance of that zone, brought it with me to her - but there's no option of giving it to her (and I can't find ANY other cat around there). She took the milk I was supposed to bring, but not that grey cat - which now accompanies me everywhere as long as she doesn't want it back. xD

Anyway:

- In my 2 hours so far I encountered a few grafic glitches (same for the interface on the left for your inventory).

- Also, it might be because I'm a bloody noob, but it appears that at some point there are quite too many tasks to do within one day.

- A nice addition would also be that your quest journal gets slightly updated whenever you take one step further in your quest. I'm a bit confused about what I'm supposed to do after finding that herb for that medicine the pharmacist wants. I clearly can't hand it over directly to the person htat needs it. And it doesn't seem like I can actually make medication from that myself.

- About music: Great soundtrack! But sometimes the music ends/starts TOO suddenly.

- Some sprites could be improved (holding tools/things looks like they're impaled on two huge forks)

- I hope in future tools won't be floating anymore while carrying. :)

- Oh, and: Please add some sort of "law-system" ... In my first hour playing I was basically stealing everything I could from other farms! xD

All in all: I like what you've did here and I hope you get to finish this game and give it the polish it deserves. Keep it up! :)

The cat at the entrance isn't Stephen Pawkins (it was his name, wasn't it? I love that name xD). As Hazel said: He must have been into the woods.

She has lots of cats, but they are buggy, so they all stay on the same spot. Quest is working, you can complete it, basically cat is on the tree if you go down the bridge from Hazel Nutt house and on the left side of the forest.

There will be a Permission system tied into the Friendship system....so make friends and you can take their stuff :-)

I have an addition to my list: I feel a little "overwhelmed" after a certain event regarding the "kynseed" (without spoiling anything^^)


So, I got visited by that Rabbit guy and got explanation what that kynseed is all about. Since I had no chance curing my dad's desease (what am I supposed to do after I showed the herbs to the pharmacist?) 3 years have passed and he passed away.

I have NO clue where he is buried or if I will find out where that is - also, I don't really know where my sister is now. I'm alone on that farm, apparently I own that place now and I have not a single idea about what to do in this game. No tasks, no idea how to earn more money, not sure what I can do now ... not sure about other players' experience, but at this point of the game I feel a little lost.

I am right there too Flint. I am alone on my farm without even fish to catch. Is there as far as the game goes at this point?

Well, I found out where to plant the kynseed, but I still don't know what to do from now. Everything feels so empty so all over sudden and there don't seem to be many things to do. I did that offering and gave food to the pig the same way as before - now without a certain task - and got my "pocketmoney" the other day (by magic??^^).

In Stardew Valley I know: "Harvest stuff, put it into that box, get money from it, invest money in upgrades". Here ... I don't really know anything from this point of the game.

Is it already possible to befriend people? People in town don't offer me anything but "gift", "ask for name" and "ask for time" ... but else?

btw: I'm sure that's a bug, but you can sleep in other people's beds and will wake up in your own bed the other day.

The no tasks things is a bug, I mentioned my experience with it in my post. But what I have just been doing is exploring the area outside the vale and selling stuff I find at the market stall in the Festival Greens :)
