Task: Cat Rescue

Think the quest may be bugged in my game, but figured I'd ask first in case I'm just doing something wrong.

I got the quest the same day that I had a task to take milk to Hazel (the cat's owner), and as soon as I received the Cat Rescue quest, I completed the "Give Milk" task.

Then I tried to complete Cat Rescue, but there are no more interactions with Hazel except to check the time. I've tried talking to her with the cat following me and not following me, tried giving the cat milk, and even tried the same thing on successive days with no affect.

Any idea whether I'm doing something wrong or if I need to submit a bug report?

There are a few issues with that task, which we should be addressing before Early Access launches...thank you!

No worries. The cat that I had assumed was the lost kitten was apparently a different cat altogether. Found the one in the tree that completed the quest.

Where exactly is the cat that we're supposed to rescue? I've spent multiple game days trying to find it.

i couldn't find it either even checked every area of the map including the trees near the water and map stone

carrying around milk or a fish should make this quest easier (if it doesnt already)
