Rover and Oxygen
There may be discussions out there but there is so much left out I figured I may try to help the situation. First, it takes approximately 9 seconds to refill a players o2 bottle from 0% to 100%. However, it takes nearly 5 in game days to fill up 2 o2 bottles for the rover, but take in to consideration I am producing 22 ml or whatever it is per hour specifically for the rover. I have another 16 for reserve tanks and another 11 for my base, so nothing is taking from anything else. One would think the garage would be the place to refill o2 tanks faster for the rover but no, you just have to tough it out. Another thing I noticed is your first 3 days in game if using the rover, the oxygen seems to last a bit, even with my tanks full the oxygen drops in the rover MUCH more rapidly than my own tank even with helmet on. So , to cut things short, the mechanics for the rover are far off from what they should be . I crafted 6 bottles in total but cannot fill them up any where and the rate for filling the bottles stays the same, 4-5 days in game and barely 33% this is for 2 bottles or 6, it has made no difference at all. Fixed settings are a pain, even the battery charges faster, takes about a day in game to fully recharge. I even took the rover closer to my o2 tanks thinking the closer the faster, nope, so then connected to one of my large tanks that holds i think 1500 or so, thinking thatll speed things up, nope, nada. Also the steering mechanics are off, for any one wants to see what I am referring to, tap V to go to 3rd person view, and watch the wheels compared to the vehicle, those wheels will be at a 60 degree angle but turns like a 1950s Winnebago , one needs to do a 12 point turn just to get turned around or take the 200 km route. the mars truck is pretty much the same except it loses all momentum when you try to turn, I literally watched the speed go from 45 to 5 just doing a simple left turn to avoid a rock formation.

Just take the oxygen bottles out of the rover and dump them/store them.
Once you get the "pull O2 from the room upgrade" the rover will provide free O2 when ever you close the doors.

Bug/cheating probably/definitely, but like you said it takes far too long to fill the tanks with O2.

Also you seem to go through Rover O2 very rapidly. Maybe you lose all the O2 in the cabin when you open the door?

The animation shows the air being let out with no depressurization sequence.

I started a new game a few days ago and haven’t put O2 in the rover yet. After the last up date, it took forever to get O2 filled up and it didn’t last long.

The O2 doesn't last long once you research 'O2 from the building'. This seems counterproductive in the rover, because as soon as the door is closed, O2 is consumed. As far as I know, it cannot be turned off.

I made the mistake of researching the O2 from building on my sandbox save and the AI constantly going off saying the rover is losing oxygen drives me nuts. I just started a new campaign save the other day and have definitely skipped researching that one this time around.

There definitely needs to be a keybind for turning that on or off.

There's also no reason why the rover should vent oxygen out into the atmosphere whenever you open the rover door. It should be recycled back into a tank (even if at a small loss every time), we have the technology to do that now.

I did the same thing. Restarted, and skipped the suit O2 regen tech. With the scrubber, sappy well, and the O2 port in the rover, there really is no need for the O2 suit absorbing the surroundings all the time.

i found a solution to the oxygen with the rover issue and it works amazingly fast.
Run a tank to a pump station to a stand alone tank then run that to the rover and it , at least for me, filled it up I would say about 10 seconds. I can sit in it now and o2 never drops below 99%. Also for the curious the rover recharges suit batteries faster than a socket but once researched the battery rack is best for multiple batteries.
