How much power is required for charging the rover?
Sorry for noob question. First time playing in free mode. I have wired up the rover in order to charge it and allowed it to take 10 KW from transformer. Its charging, but a bit slow. I could give it more power, but I wonder how much does it actually require? If i give it 100 KW will it charge 10 times faster? Is there a maximum KW it can take while charging?

it will take as much as you can give it. these things don't blow... yet. the more power the faster it charges but it will take a long time to charge on 10kw give it the power of one medium solar panel and it will most probably charge in a day or so

I have found with the latest couple of updates, it now takes FOREVER and a day to charge the rover, just like trying to charge your suit from a power outlet. I think they are wanting people to keep charged rover batteries around and swap them out instead of trying to charge the rover. I had 900kw set to charge my rover and over a day, it only charged it like 20%. I now have been swapping the batteries and then the charging is just the rover itself, which takes a lot less time, but still takes quite a while.

Funny. My rover charges over one day running on one solar panel.

Mine used to also, but not any longer. It seems to charge faster if the extension batteries are removed, but that is just a feeling. Really haven't paid much attention. At this point, I'm so deep in the game that having a rack at every outpost/base isn't a big deal.

well thnk of it this way. if you use the power bank, each battery takes 10k to charge in one day. multiply that by how many additional batteries you have then add the power it takes to charge the bare rover without any batteries in it. that's how much power you have to use to charge in a day.
