Yes, my scanner is level 2. It can scan for a water source and scan the resources in a rock formation. If that is what is needed to scan the storage container it should work for me also.
Scan water has it's own interface as does scanning resources. Has scanning decorations its own interface as well? I currently have just the scan interface for water and resources.
Does 'almost everything' include the storage container? Is there a visible or audiable feedback when the decoration scan is successfully completed like water or resources? Where does for instance the storage container show up in the 3D printer interface? Like before at the bottom of the printable objects?
Not all items are scannable. You'll see some inventory boxes strewn about, but not all inventory boxes are scannable. It's a game RNG I would guess. You will find one to scan ... eventually. Once scanned you'll usually find it listed near the top of the printer under decorations.
