What do you do with empty Seed Cannisters?

I've got a bunch of empties and if I drop them they just stay around cluttering up my landscape.

Can they be recycled or something?

Drop them into the rubbish bin in the workshop, or the rock crusher if you have it.

Sometimes our brain makes us overthink it =)
1) Put thing in hand (put the seed thing in a quickslot and press that number key to hold it)
2) Go to trash bin (in workshop, next to the screen in the center walkway)
3) Drop thing in bin (right click while carrying it in hand)
If the thing lands in the basket, it gets removed

I guess the correct answer is to put them in the empty bin in the workshop, they will disappear.

Another answer would be to put them in a giant pile outside and watch what happens when a dust devil comes through.

I vote for some scrubber/disassmbler/trash disposal device with interface :)
While dispose seed cans it simple, but there is other "trash" which i cant drop and dont needed - i crafted second air gun, some part from rockets left, uneeded materials from scrap( i have too many steel plates), I would love to have an option to process them to something usefull/ore.

It is quite simple to destroy items using the trash bin - assign the empty seed canister to quick slot; stand in front of the trash bin in the workshop; press the number key for the item you wish to destroy; aim so your centre screen dot is just above the far rim of the trash can; right click mouse button; item should fall in the trash bin with ease and vanish.

I agree, they should be a printable item. When used they should lose their association with the seed type, empty magazines should be stackable, and the Seed Modification machine should have a spot where you can place a stack of empty magazines, required for it to do its thing.

I wouldn't put any of that very high on the wish list though. Dev time is always a limited resource.

You can dump these items in the crusher and it'll return the resources to the inventory.

empty seed magazines of the same type are stackable now. can carry a stack of them in your hand and throw them away as a stack also.
There is also a trash bin in the HQ building near the stairs.

It's much easier hitting the crusher then the bin.
