Suggestion. Clean up the chaos with wires and hoses.
When there are a lot of wires and hoses near the base, it does not always look clear and aesthetically pleasing. Is it possible to add 2 buildings to structure them? For example, a power transmission mast, as well as a hose rack? It will be something like a cable manager, which collects many wires (or hoses) into one thick bundle, leads to another mast or rack, and there they spread them into many small ones (or 1 if necessary). Thus, it will be more clear what goes where and what is connected to when there are a lot of buildings on the base. Thank you!

The height of the electric mast and hose rack can be adjusted.

i would like to see "hard lines" too or conduits

Agree, some sort of trenching, conduit or pole......driving over cables and pipes makes me cringe....:-)

Yes, especially the hoses. Sometimes it seems that when I drive over it, it is about to explode :)

I had to build my solar farm far away from my base, as for some reason I had a lot of trouble placing medium solar panels.

Anyway there is this one tiny cable connecting the batteries to my base that stretches halfway across the surface of mars.

It's a safety hazard - someone's going trip on it.

I wouldn't call it a solution but a temporary fix I found out is that you can turn of build all on grid in the options menu. That let me place the solar panels down close to my base so I didn't have to tie a string of cable around mars

We all struggle to just survive in that hostile environment and the first thing people are concerned about is the look of the (admittedly a bit messy) cables? Game is to easy :-)

While i'm not fussed one way or the other with the messy cables, i wonder if one solution (if the games mechanics supports it) would be to have an upgrade available to the transformers? So this upgrade would be an underground conduit option that connects two transformers together over what ever distance you need and have the resources for. So then when you attach a device like a solar panel to Transformer A - output 1, the power from it is available at Transformer B - Output 1 on the other side of the conduit provided you have the available cable available for the distance. Water/02 pipes with pumps could work the same. People could choose the upgrade if they wanted, or stick with the current system

Have you tried the arrow keys?

Left / right = Rotate blueprint

Up / down = Placement height on the Z axis.
