If the problem continues please send us your Player.log and Player-prev.log files to eracolonisthelp@gmail.com for investigation.
i have already done so on the christmas update when the issue started. All files verified successfully. Please be aware that I was playing through a campaign mission for many many hours when the issue suddenly popped up on a load of the save game, I was in the free play portion for some time and had unlocked quite a bit of the tree before the issue appeared. I have sent the log files over to your team and have received confirmation of ticket creation.
It appears for the time being I am now FORCED to revert to the halloween update of the game in order to continue playing.
When the problem began occurring it has affected EVERY SINGLE SAVE FILE I HAVE! EVERY SINGLE NEW GAME! ITS UNIVERSAL NOW! I doubt that the save files are going to make much of a difference here. THE ONLY WORK AROUND IS TO DOWNGRADE TO HALLOWEEN PATCH!
... so yes, if you want to keep that mod, you have to stay with the last working branch for it until mod authors update the mod. And while they reported their last update to be compatible for the anniversary update, they already then warned to use their mod due to the heavy changes ...
... next time, instead of ranting, just think for the obvious, would ya?
People think I'm rude ... but for sure I'm really annoyed by ranting players ranting for no reason.
You're not rude. Just stating facts. I get annoyed with it as well.
as far as the mod itself pulling a quote from months ago, when the mod was updated enough to be working is COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY! I was unaware that the mod itself would damage a mechanic in the game when it has survived multiple updates without any similar incident occuring, through game updates and without it being updated. IN ADDITION, it appears that my game updated to the newer version later than i originally believed it did. Hence why I was so frustrated that it seemed like it suddenly stopped working after a protracted period of time when i believed that I had been playing the update longer than I actually was.
Go find something else to complain about, other than players voicing concerns. The situation was resolved LONG before you came along. And a temporary resolution found, LONG before you came along.
SO... YES, RUDE AF!
Your rants still standing uncorrected by yourself in the bugs and announcement sections, even if you realized your own fault LONG ago, while other people reading your rants there, still get the impression it's the devs fault ... it's your turn.
edit:
By the way, I already told you in the beginning in your bug report that I couldn't experience your problem in my game, so that's a hint it's not a general bug for all like you ranted afterwards. I took my time to assist you by testing your described bug myself in my game ...
Why should I have known, that you mod your game if you don't even mention it in your report? That's part of the basics if you want to report a bug when using a mod ...
The game is unplayable without mods, at least for me. The stack size, or capacity of the battery,.. and so on, no thanks. So for me the game is unplayable without mods, and boring.
We understand modding, some of our devs were modders too.
The only problem is that sometimes we are criticized by players while not the game, but the mods cause problems, like in Bongerman case.
So our policy is - use mods if you want, we understand it and support modders, just please dont shout at us and get mad when mod breaks the game. First rule of modding - always be prepared that mod may break the game. We dont test mods, we dont test game with mods. You have game breaking bugs and you use mods please switch them off first and check if the problem is gone.
As problem is solved, i'm closing the thread.
